ABOUT THE HILLER
The Hiller was established in 1940 as Hillside High School's school newspaper. It covered everything from local events to the country's politics. Our goal is to continue this tradition in the 21st century and to encourage others to become an active part of the community.

Our Philosophy
The Hiller believes that news is an essential way to create awareness and bring a community together. By promoting local events and reporting on social issues, readers will be able to become active participants in the community, locally and abroad.
Our History
The Hiller began in 1940 as a way to bring news to the students. By 1960,it had grown into a published newspaper that included articles on school events as well as national politics. It also included ads from local businesses. In the late 2000's, the Hiller began to include color photos for the readers to enjoy. In 2018, the Hiller established a digital format. Today, the Hiller has also expanded to social media platforms.
